Discotheque the Party-Celebration: A party hosted by Mimi Berlin, celebrating (almost) 5 years of Mimi Berlin’s Fashion-Fest. We had Music, we had Drinks, Snacks, Sauerkraüt, Partyhats, Photographers ànd we had 2 Group-Photo moments and we had FUN!

In daily life they try to make the world a prettier place by creating and sharing (mostly behind the scenes) in the fields of art, music, design, theater, illustration, photography, jewellry, perfume and food, and by just having fun in general.

Mimi Berlin’s Fashion-Fest #6; Dutch Cheerleading Squad: Cheering for Ourselves, November 2016. Braggin’ and boastin’ has never been so much fun! VUFU&FE (von uns für uns & für euch.)
In this self-portrait we are having fun cheering for each other: this group of friends and colleagues are all creative minds from The Netherlands. In daily life these people are trying to make the world a prettier place; by creating visual delicacies. The portrayed are working, behind the scenes, in fashion (illustration), dance and art (direction). They really like to dress up and they have a fascination with cheerleaders in general.

Let us share a secret with you;

Initially the concept for MBFF4 was to pharaprase the “brides’ photo by Paul Huf, made in 1963 at the studio of Dick Holthaus. As you can see  we decided, while working, that MBFF4 should have a different outcome. Sometimes there’s just no need for a group-portrait to paraphrase an image; in the case of MBFF4 we actually only needed one model: Joey Holthaus in a (vintage) dress designed by his uncle Dick Holthaus.holthaus_generations_mimiberlin
